Had TURP on 5/9. Discharged from hospital 5/11. On that day foley was removed in the AM but I only produced a dribble and could not adequately empty the bladder and a new foley was put in. I have had a catheter in since 5/20.

I will be in the hospital for 2 days after the TURP and probably have the catheter for those days. Is usual to go home with the catheter still in or is it removed on discharge from the hospital?
Has anyone experienced the above. The anesthetist says that since they are mild it would not be from the spinal. Also, he has no snawer as to why the headache lessens when I lie down flat.
