PVP/Green Ligh18 Jun 2006 21:51 GMT3
As far as I’m concern, the PVP procedure is nothing more than a marketing
gimmick that benefit only the manufacture of that machine, the hospitals, and
all the urologists who perform it.
I had a prostate that was only 30mg but the lobes were growing inside the
Green Light Laser Results17 Jun 2006 01:46 GMT29
I am scheduled for a Green Light Laser procedure. There are threads here that
reference PVP and I'm assuming that is the same procedure, but I'm not sure.
I'm interested in hearing from those who have had the Green Light (Laserscope)
procedure. How was the procedure? What were the ...
Greenlight Surgery16 Jun 2006 20:04 GMT1
Those contemplating PVP for bph should consider waiting until their uro
has access to the new and improved equipment.  Laserscope recently
announced that they made various enhancements to the PVP equipment
which should make for better outcomes.   It will also be more expensive
Will PVP reduce nighttime trips to the bathroom?16 Jun 2006 02:30 GMT3
I've been facing the inevitable for some 10 years. My urologist told me
years ago that I would likely need a TURP sometime in the future, but I
definitely don't want one because of my father's experience with
impotance following his. I've been taking Proscar now for several years
Poor Results from PVP Laser Procedure15 Jun 2006 23:05 GMT15
I believe this is a great site for men to share the pain and agony of
dealing with enlarged prostates, etc.  I actually found this after my
procedure on May 16, 2006.  Tomorrow is 4 weeks post-op and I am not a
happy camper.
Success: Greenlight/PVP vs TURP15 Jun 2006 20:11 GMT7
I have been under the impression that greenlight/PVP offers same chance
of success. If this is wrong, please advise.

My Urologist just called and stated that my PSA is slughtly elevated and
that I should have a Ultrasound guided biopsy done.  Has anyone had this
done?  He explained it to me but I was a bit shocked and not much sank in.
I have had Cancer in the past (Malignant melanoma) and felt ...

Does this feel like BPH?12 Jun 2006 14:53 GMT11
Hi to everybody. I am really glad I found this group.
I am 58 yo and for the past month have had pain on urination. Usually
it's only when I start the stream. I went to see my GP on Monday and
she suspects a UTI so she has me on septra DS for a week. Not much
Dr. Lin St. Augustine Florida ?12 Jun 2006 03:57 GMT4
Hi, anyone have an experience with Dr. Lin of St Augustine Florida?  I need
to have a PVP procedure and I am considering having it done by Dr. Lin who
has done more than 200 PCP procedures.
Any feed back would be appreciated?
What to expect 1 wk post pvp10 Jun 2006 23:26 GMT21
I wish I had discovered this ng prior to my pvp a week ago, 5/30/06, so
I would have had a better idea of the questions to ask my urologist
pre-op regarding realistic recovery expectations, as well as to
establish a pre-op baseline of various measures such as retention,
Flomax and back pain10 Jun 2006 17:35 GMT3
I am 69 and have been living with back pain for many years due to a severe
arthritis.
Because of BPH I have been on Flomax for 2 years and my back pain is
increasing.

Another Median Lobe Question03 Jun 2006 07:47 GMT5
Hello Group: I recently had a TRUS and prostate biopsy with no cancer
present in any of the samples. My prostate size is 28 grams and my PSA
number is .07. The only problem I have is an enlarged median lobe,
which slows up urine flow. I currently take flomax and avodart, and my
