Enlarged prostrate31 May 2006 23:33 GMT3
I have been told that my prostrate is big and that could be the reason for
high PSA OF 7.2.  What do you think please?
How could prostate be reduced in size?

Botox Eases Symptoms of Enlarged Prostate
A small study of patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia, also known as
BPH or an enlarged prostate, shows Botox helps ease the condition, without
major side effects.
Does a Uro. do kidney biopsy exams31 May 2006 02:31 GMT30
As a result of having red blood cells in my urine, my doctor
referred me to a urologist. I have edema and some other
symptoms of kidney disease. It's my "guess" that the blood
in the urine is the result of a kidney disease.
Bike At Gym - Levaquin -  Prostate Now Acting Up30 May 2006 16:07 GMT2
Has anyone had this experience?  I rode the stationary bike for 20
minutes at the gym today and my prostate felt like it was almost
spasming -- not pain, but a lot of pressure.  Right now I'm still on
Levaquin for my chronic prostatis (which was diagnosed after a 10
Saw Palmetto NOT helpful29 May 2006 00:49 GMT48
Watch for the latest edition of New England Journal of Medicine, due out
tomorrow, May 4th.  A study done claims 160 mg Saw Palmetto, 85 to 95% fatty
acid, taken 2x daily, offers no improvement to symptoms of BPH.
medication question28 May 2006 15:14 GMT1
I've been on proscar for years, now insurance won't cover. Went to
urologist...he put me on flomax.I couldn't handle the stuff, it was like
being in a fog all day. Now, I'm to try cardura but he wants me to start
taking 8mg/day right from the start. Everything I've read says to ...
Radioactive seed therapy after PVP?27 May 2006 00:24 GMT2
The question was asked quite some time ago as to if one could have the
seed therapy after having PVP.
I was in to see my URO today (3 week post PVP) and asked him the question.
He said yes.  Not right away of course.
PSA in Stratosphere - I'm a Little Unnerved!24 May 2006 15:21 GMT7
I'm 50 years old.  In December 2005 my PSA was 5.26 then, after some
antiobiotics, went down to 4.6.  Doctor still felt that I needed a
biopsy which came back negative for malignancy.  However, I was
diagnosed with chronic prostatitis and BPH (prostate measuring 35cm).
Greenlight PVP/Retrograde21 May 2006 04:51 GMT29
Well it's been a year now since my surgery and sadly I have to say that the
retrograde seems permanent.   I have ejaculated a few times but very little
if any.  I was wondering if anyone has heard of any new treatments for
retrograde ejaculation.  I've done some google searches on ...
Pete's Cystoscopy (Dr. Sancha please comment)20 May 2006 18:50 GMT2
Damn it, I am rewriting this since I just lost a whole typewritten page
(over a half an hour) due to a power outage [boy does that piss me off - no
pun intended, since I do leak :-)].  So I will have to make this shorter,
without as much background as I had before.
Reversing retro: one man's intriguing approach20 May 2006 11:52 GMT3
I recently received this letter from a friend who has retro from a
PVP.  He gave me permission to pass it along to you.  As you know, I am
contemplating having a PVP, and will probably get retro.  So it's of
great interest to me to learn about others who have this condition, and
Greenlight side effects20 May 2006 08:55 GMT12
New here.  I've had BHP for years and its to the point that something needs
to be done.  Just had a cystocopy(sp) and my prostate is enlarged, but I
already knew that.  I've had three negative biopsies so far.  My doctor
recommends drugs or Greenlight.  I've already tried the ...
Holap (Holium Laser Resection/Vaporization) death report19 May 2006 21:51 GMT3
Question to the people that have researched Holap or practice it.  What
would cause death in a Holap procedure?  The report is unclear.

Urimax cause urinary retention ?16 May 2006 01:41 GMT6
This is about my farther (now 75yrs). He had a TURP in 1994 because of
enlarge prostate.
Around 2004 ~ 2005 he started getting urine infections on and off. Then
he had a stroke in July 2005 (nominal aphasia) for that doctors gave
3 months after TURP... vs. before15 May 2006 09:42 GMT14
I have followed this NG for 5 years... practically since I started to have
symptoms of BPH.
After having read a lot of posts, that have helped me a lot, I think I must
counterchange by narrating my experience.
