I subscribed to this ng several years ago. During the time I was a subscriber, I had enlarged prostate, was treated with proscar for a couple years and ended up having a TUMT in 2000. So far everything is working fine, I pee like a champ, I occasionally get up once during the ...

| My Flomax vs Uroxatral experience | 19 Feb 2006 18:57 GMT | 74 |
I've been on a regimen of Flomax and Ditropan XL for some years. The Ditropan XL to relax bladder and the Flomax to reduce bladder neck restriction. On the Flomax I definitely had an improved stream but still had sense of restriction. My physician suggested I try Uroxatral.

I have found a way to upload videos in my blog. I have already placed a video of a PVP of a 44 gram prostate, you might want to have a look. I am working on a video of a 100 gram prostate and also a video with real time transrectal ultrasound control of a PVP procedure, I will

| Chronic Prostatitis and BPH - Rectal Symptoms? | 15 Feb 2006 06:31 GMT | 2 |
I'm 50, have chronic prostatitis and BPH (34 cm). I'm also on Uroxatral (have been since being diagnosed in early January), a beta blocker which has increased my ability to urinate. However, I seem to be experiencing this odd rectal sensation. It's not pain but it's

| TUIP - 8 weeks ago, have questions please | 12 Feb 2006 21:29 GMT | 2 |
It's been 2 months since the TUIP (bi-lateral & "deep and aggresive" as my doc put it), my flow is great - 25ml/sec vs 7 before, no complaints there. The problem is that my bowel function has never returned to anything close to what it was before the surgery - has anyone else ...

| Recent PVP procedure | 11 Feb 2006 12:15 GMT | 6 |
I'm new to this board, but in need of info. I had Greenlight PVP on Jan 10 and was optimistic that the procedure would cure my BPH problems. I was getting up 3 to 4 times every night despite my being on .4 and the later .8 mg of Flomax. The Flomax helped for several years until ...

| Caution about Prostatitis NG | 08 Feb 2006 20:55 GMT | 7 |
I just noticed that a couple of you were in the prostatitis ng. It used to be a good group back in 1997 but now is almost extinct (like I have said in here before, but I'm sure you don't remember). There is a troll in there who goes by fatty mawsom, mo, bbgator, testclez

| PVP Question | 07 Feb 2006 20:35 GMT | 2 |
This question is out of ignorance... As the urethra passes through the prostate, I assume it is walled in, like a straw running through, i.e. a separated from the prostate by tissue. When PVP is done, how does the laser reach the prostate

| Anyone post-PVP with leaky "faucet"? | 05 Feb 2006 01:41 GMT | 3 |
I keep an eye on this newsgroup and on this guy's blog. You guys are a great source of info. However, on this guy's blog he has something this newsgroup has not yet discussed. After PVP he raises attention to what he calls a "leaky faucet".
