I could not pass much. It would just dribble out. Dr gave me some medicine-did not help Dribble dribble dribble-Went to homepathic Dr. and he prescribed Ferrum Picricum.

does anyone have any input on the TUNA procedure for BPH,, guess its been around since 1996.. I have a very enlarged prostate about twice the size that it should be,, presently i am on flomax,, it does seem to help alot,, but really dont like to side effects

Still bleeding ( a tinge) at the beginning and ending of urinating. Don't know why that hasn't healed by now. Only other problem is having slight bladder and rectum spasms later in the day, but I am controlling those with Levsin. Been afraid to even think about the sex thing yet.

I have been following this group for quite a while. PVP is continuously praised. I just wonder if anyone has had or has heard of any bad experiences. One post said something to that effect but did not give any details.

I would recommend that all persons with bph considering the treatment options take a look at the 142 page document written in 2003 on the AUA website. Since I have not seen it referenced in this ng, I think it is worth reading. I wish I had seen the information prior to my TUMT ...

(I posted this as a reply further up the list, but go no comments). I, too, have urinary problems inherited from HDR Brachytherapy for advanced Prostate Cancer, performed in mid July this year. I had to wear a Foley Catheter for almost 4 wks post discharge from hospital.

Try "Melatonin" it will in most cases maybe stop your nightly trips to the bathroom due to it effects on circadian rhythm. DP
