How Many PVP's has your doc done?28 Apr 2005 20:47 GMT6
Today I traveled 260  miles round trip to visit Dr. Vincent Cubelli, in
Denville, NJ.    He answered all my questions but we did seem to develop
that spark that would make for a good doctor patient relationship.  Although
he is listed on the Laserscope website, he did not seem as ...
Avodart27 Apr 2005 16:35 GMT2
I began taking Avodart one month ago. I do not expect results before several
more months, but I want to ask:
Has somebody had a good experience with Avodart?
Thank you,
My PVP recovery has bloating and nausea at 7 weeks26 Apr 2005 13:07 GMT6
I'm 7 weeks post PVP. I started having frequency & urgency issues about two
years ago. Decided on the PVP when flow rate was 7mL/sec, the scope showed
a trabiculated bladder and a "salt and pepper" prostate and an ultrasound
showed prostate stones along the urethra. Urgency and ...

I took your advice and contacted Gordon Muir.  After some email
correspondence I went down to London to see him at the Lister hospital
yesterday and I'm now booked in for PVP with him on 15th June at Kings
College Hospital.
Post PVP 'clot' - Wow!!26 Apr 2005 01:32 GMT1
Three weeks post pvp, and I just passed my first 'clot' during urination.
1/4 inch across, very sharp edges, and dry as a bone (like petrified rock!)
Amazingly enough, it didn't hurt at all as it passed.  Are such 'clots' to
be expected (my uro didn't give me any clues as to what ...

I had my PVP done on Monday. They were running late and I almost backed

night at choir rehearsal (yes, you can play piano post
PVP.....hahahaha). Very little pain and flow is good, Can't sit for
BPH and Alpha Blockers and Phenylephrine HCL23 Apr 2005 18:37 GMT2
I am having the worst time of my life.  I just had a TURP (transurethral
resection of the prostate), and now I am worse than ever (the urologist says
to wait).  Before the surgery, I had a little bit of BPH, and a lot of
prostatitis, plus a restriction from bladder neck surgery ...

has anyone had this treatment. My Doctor does it and pvp and thinks
they are close. I have a lot of trust in him so I am going for it.
Size of Channel opened by PVP21 Apr 2005 20:09 GMT1
I have read a few posts where the prostate was too large to do a PVP.  If
the doctor is going in and opening a  channel for the urine to flow through
what does it matter?  Wouldn't everyone need approximately the same sized
channel?  Or, does the larger prostate press more on the ...
PSA / Biopsy21 Apr 2005 16:49 GMT8
Hello, all! I posted a couple of questions about 3 years ago and got
some good input, so I'm back with a couple more. 3+ years ago my PSA
was 5.7 and the doctor recommended a biopsy. I wimped out and didn't do
it. My PSA went back down into the 4.5 range and then a couple of

I am looking for a doctor in the San Diego area who is fairly well up
on the learning curve doing PVP surgery on the prostate using the
LaserScope GreenLight KTP laser system.  I see that the LaserScope site
lists some doctors in the LA area and as far south as Murrieta (3
Cardura ???18 Apr 2005 17:28 GMT9
To quickly summarize: I have a prostate that has re-grown to 170gm prostate
after TUMT 4 years ago, and my bladder was weakened following an
Appendectomy 2 1/2 years back, but symptomatically I have very little
urgency, except when I drink an excessive amount of liquid. And I have
