Any Experiences With Zinc Sulfate?19 Mar 2005 18:59 GMT5
Web searches seem to suggest that zinc sulfate may
help allieviate BPH symptoms. My own very brief and un-intentional
experience with it about a year ago was good.  I finally put it all together
yesterday, that it may have been the zinc sulfate, and am wondering if

TUMT Day one18 Mar 2005 03:53 GMT1
Procedure done yesterday, March 16.  The Dr. suggested I try TUMT first
before PVP.  For me it is a quality of life thing.  Age 75 and in relatively
good health.  Presently getting up three or four times a night and very
little trouble during the day.

PVP, TUVP, or TUIP?17 Mar 2005 13:39 GMT16
I have a small prostate with very reduced flow, and would like
to compare treatment options.  Mostly I've seen PVP discussed
in this newsgroup.
Is anyone doing TUVP (aka TUEP) or TUIP anymore?  How do they

Scoping the bladder? PAIN?14 Mar 2005 05:01 GMT8
It has been decided by a new Uro that I have that he would like to
scope the bladder for various reasons. I previously had this done in
a hospital and was 'out' for the procdure. My current Doc choses to
do it in his office.
PVP Doctor recommendations?13 Mar 2005 18:38 GMT2
Can anyone recommend a doctor for doing a PVP near northern Virginia
or Maryland?  The Laserscope webside lists ten doctors, but it would
help me to have a few personal recommendations.  I'd consider travelling
some distance to see a doctor with a lot of PVP experience and satisfied
Unusual Affects After PVP13 Mar 2005 08:43 GMT8
I had a PVP and flow increased substantially.  I've noticed two strange
results UROs can't explain.  I thought I would ask if anyone in this
group has heard of anything like this since I've learned a lot here.
1.  I empty standing up, feel empty and relaxed, but if I sit down
Undetected infection??13 Mar 2005 05:09 GMT3
I started developing BPH symptoms (urgency, retention, feeling of
incomplete voiding, etc) last october, I started taking Flomax in
December after a urine analysis, urine culture, general blood panel and
a cystoscopy (sp?). The Flomax seemed to help and the symptoms got much
Greater than 50,000 PVPs done worldwide11 Mar 2005 00:19 GMT11
I think it is amazing to watch how fast this technology is becoming

worldwide installed base of Laserscope PVP GreenLight laser systems exceeded
400 systems, and fiber sales since Laserscope introduced the PVP ...
Affect of Walking On BPH/Prostratitis10 Mar 2005 19:31 GMT2
Is it possible that walking for three miles or so on a treadmill can
cause the prostate to swell up and agitate BPH or cause an affect like
prostatitis?  It seems like exercise causes problems, but the docs all
say walking should help?
Complications from PVP09 Mar 2005 15:38 GMT4
I am 6 days post-op from PVP in Jax, Fl. I had a catheter for 48 hours
instead of the usual 24 hours, however, it has now been 6 days and I still
cannot urinate except very little. I do not have the frequent urge to go as
everyone mentions. Actually, I am worse at this point that I ...
Prostavan, Anyone?  *Blink*09 Mar 2005 03:35 GMT1
I am curious
If anyone here has tried Prostavan, and if it has been beneficial?
The Prostavan is the Melaleuca version of Saw Palmetto.  I am not too
keen on Melaleuca suppliments (other than the Glucosamine, which must
