I've been waiting a couple years for a respected journal to offer a peer-reviewed article on the efficacy of PVP. Is anyone aware of such an article appearing in a publication such as "Urology," "Journal of Urology," "The New England Journal of Medicine"

For the last 3 or 4 years I have been taking saw palmetto (raw, berry form) to help with frequent urination - before bed about 1800mg - which has helped cut back the 4-5 trips down to 1-2. Recently, I purchased some pure extract 320mg (expensive) and started taking 2 of these a day

I seem to remember one post where the person opted for local anesthesia, one who opted for spinal anesthesia and the rest for general anesthesia. I would benefit greatly hearing the pros and cons of each of these methods. I am scheduled for PVP 2/23/05. chockman@canby.com

I've been posting about flomax not working and asking about additional medication. Anyway, Dr. Wei, the urologist, wants to see me. Get this: the earliest I can see him is Monday, 3/7, at 10:00 AM.
