PVP Fourth Day
Everything continues to work well.  Strong flow that starts quickly.
There is still some poist void dripping but I may just need to adjust
to the changes.
Cost of PVP?28 Feb 2005 10:40 GMT7
I'm from Canada and the PVP technique hasn't penetrated far here...
probably nobody does it here in Alberta.
Maybe I'll decide to go to the States and have a PVP done, instead of
a TURP here. Finances will figure in this, so I would like to know how
Uro-dynamics test27 Feb 2005 11:23 GMT8
I contacted my uro's secretary to see when my cystoscopy might be taking
place - the months are ticking by since September when I was hospitalised
with acute retention - and after taking down my file she said that they had
decided that a uro-dynamics test would be more useful at ...
BPH and Head-Colds27 Feb 2005 01:20 GMT5
Rarely get a cold, but have a whopper just now.  Been using Nasalcrom (as
suggested a few years back by guys on this NG), but doesn't seem as
effective as before (it's a fresh bottle).   Any thoughts--anything new out
there?  Thanks.

PVP Day 225 Feb 2005 23:26 GMT1
Had PVP Wednesday, Feb 23, Portland, OR.  Only complication was
inability to urinate for first 12 hours after surgery.  Had to
catheterize x3. By 3 am the morning after, was urinating with burning.
Biggest problem so far is to get the bowel system working.  Probably the
PVP - Day 125 Feb 2005 23:21 GMT1
I had PVP yesterday afternoon about 1:30 P.M. .  Spinal was done.  I
felt nothing.  I left hospital about 7:00 P.M. I prefer spinal to past
experience with general. Catheder was left in over night.  I took it
out this morning.  First urination burned and contained blood.  Doctor

The post by Chockman was the first one I have seen since 2-12.  Did
anyone else have that problem?
PVP 2/23/0524 Feb 2005 18:52 GMT1
I am 61 yr old male who had Prostatron 2.5 TUMT 7/2.  Cystoscopy 2/2
showed blockage in  distal half of prostatic urethra.
Entered hospital at noon 2/23, had the procedure with general anesthetic
about 2 pm. Procedure was very unremarkable and after the procedure I
Soy products23 Feb 2005 18:42 GMT1
The soy pills I got at Walgreens said they were for women and to help
them with their menopause.
Did I get the right ones?
Will I become pregnant if I continue taking them? (Just kidding)
Side Effects of Uroxatral and Flomax23 Feb 2005 04:14 GMT10
How many of you using Uroxatral or Flomax get stuffy nose and low back
pain that you associate with these medications?  How about tinnitis?
Unusual Combination of conditions and Questions23 Feb 2005 04:07 GMT6
Of course I have BPH and have had symptons on and off for about 7-8
years. I am 54 and just got back from the urologist where he didn't
tell me the size of my prostate, but did tell me it is pressing on the
bladder so that the bladder looks like a crescent moon on the x-ray(had
Research on BPH22 Feb 2005 22:26 GMT1
Here is a link to several studies on various methods of taking care of BPH.
The PVP treatment is quite a ways down the pagee.  If you do a "Control F"
and enter PVP it will get you to the topic much quicker.

PVP vs.  Interstitial laser coagulation22 Feb 2005 17:52 GMT2
Does anyone have any wisdom on the relative merits of (Laserscope) PVP vs.
(Indigo Laser) interstitial laser coagulation. Most entries here seem to
lean toward PVP.
Thanks.
