Can anyone recommend a PVP Urologist in Southwest Florida? I think it's time
for me to take the next step.

Saw Palmetto and Flomax?29 Nov 2004 08:54 GMT7
Is there any advantage (or otherwise?) in using Saw Palmetto together with
Flomax?  Perhaps taking Saw Palmetto in the morning and Flomax in the
evening?  Is there any adverse interaction between the two?
My symptoms are not that severe (other than some retention) and my hope is
PVP/Dr Laub/2-weeks post29 Nov 2004 03:22 GMT9
This is my first PVP post.  I've read this ng daily for over 2-years.  For
several years I've consumed a brew of Saw Palmetto, Beta Sitosterol, Pygeum
and Nettles.  I've been biding my time until the brew lost whatever effect
it may have had - and for Dr Laub to further hone his PVP ...
Hifu26 Nov 2004 05:04 GMT4
There is a report on the front page of today’s Daily Telegraph of a
“revolutionary” new treatment for prostate cancer.  The treatment
(called Hifu) apparently “melts away” prostate cancer using powerful
sound waves.
Responce from Dr. Lin26 Nov 2004 04:13 GMT8
This is a follow up to my post titled "Bleeding like crazy 16 months post
PVP":
I just got a call back from Dr. Lin.  He said " If you lifted something very
heavy that bleeding can happen."  I should not be concerned if it only
Bladder Neck Obstruction/TUIP24 Nov 2004 00:49 GMT3
I was writing in the hope someone in the group had experience with
this.
My story as briefly as possible; I'm a 50 y.o. whose dealt with what I
thought was BPH for 25 years. The onset occurred in my early twenties,
Bleeding like crazy 16 months post PVP22 Nov 2004 23:05 GMT15
I had a PVP in July of 1993.  I thought I was all over it.  Yesterday I
helped my girl friend move into her new town house.  I ended up carrying
heavy Japanese teak furniture up three flights of stairs.  The next I passed
a big clot followed by a lot of deep red urine.  The next ...
??  Anyone Trying to Treat Causes??21 Nov 2004 22:16 GMT9
Is ANYONE trying to find the CAUSE of their DHTs and hence what is CAUSING
their prostate to grow??
(I'm excluding cancer and Prostatitis-induced BPH in this query--cancer will
require a specialized regime for treatment; on the other hand, Prostatitis
TUNA19 Nov 2004 21:49 GMT3
Several years back I studied the hell out of the options available and,
having an older brother who had TURP and who had definite problems such as
retro ejaculation, I was not convinced about TURP being the "gold standard".
I opted finally for TUNA and found myself a highly ...
PVP Recovery time17 Nov 2004 20:02 GMT4
I'm going to have a PVP on the 24th.  How long before I will be able to
resume walking?  How long before I will be able to lift weights?
Anyone had any experience with GYRUS TURPs17 Nov 2004 16:34 GMT8
My URO says it's time I had a TURP and is suggesting the Gyrus method.
From what he says and what I read on the Gyrus site, the outcomes are
similar to PVP.

proscar and cardura - positive report16 Nov 2004 01:47 GMT2
I am an old record (i.e. 78!).  I've been aware of my prostate for about 20
years
My doc prescribed proscar(finasteride) about 2 ? years ago; then about a
year ago, we decided to add cardura(doxososin), based on a study (? UK - I
Prostate enlargment and Diet15 Nov 2004 02:46 GMT9
Nutritional intervention for BPH includes a healthy low-fat, high-fiber
diet, weight loss if necessary, vitamin and mineral supplements and, in some
cases, essential fatty acids such as flaxseed oil, says Dr. Balch. Some
doctors also consider two herbs, saw palmetto and pygeum (a ...
First Anniversary PVP13 Nov 2004 20:23 GMT23
It's been 12 months since my PVP and I'm sorry to report that
the results have been very disappointing for me.  Except for newfound
retro and
increased urgency and control problems, my symptoms are exactly the
Bowel urgency after laser proceedure11 Nov 2004 03:13 GMT4
After a normal movement in the morning, I am experiencing the constant
feeling of having to make a bowel movement during the rest of the day, but
nothing happens.  Has anyone had this problem after greenlight laser?  It
has been about 5 months that I have been experiencing this.
