  Uro has recommended Indgo Laser treatment for BPH and related urine
retention. Anyone had expierence with this procedure.

Age 72, now using both Avodart and Viagra. Using Avodart for BPH, started using
Viagra due to sex effects of sleep loss due to BPH, and age.
I read a common side effect of Avodart is impotence, desire, no erection. To help
BPH, I take Avodart, it aggravates exactly the problems ...

I read the recent thread on Avodart.
I am 72, have BPH, am now getting up 6-7 times during the night, ruining my sleep.
My regular doctor (internal medicine) gave me enough samples for 5 weeks. He
mentioned it takes about this time for any effect.

My Dr. has suggested that I use Uroxatral (alfuzosin HCl) for my BPH. He
indicates it is a new drug that improves the flow but does not have the side
effects of Flomax.
Does anyone know anything about it, good or bad?

What are the doses you all are taking of Flomax?
I understand there are some side effects.
I have been on it for 6 months and my dose is 0.4 mg
and my Uro wants me to take them twice a day.

I am 52 and have been suffering with BPH for several years. Had a PVP
done by Dr. Butterworth in Indianapolis on August 11 with one objective
being the discontinuance of Flomax.   He has done 200-300 PVPs and I
