urethral stricutres10 Mar 2004 23:14 GMT1
After TURP sugery, I have developed urethral strictures. I read that

Cranberries for urinary track06 Mar 2004 17:39 GMT1
Cranberries can be bought, I just found out, in two ways. My special
products section of a major local grocery chain has them [at lowest
cost] sweetened with apple juice and also another product sweetened with
sugar. Does anyone know if cranberry juice is as good?
Laser/TURP -- advice?05 Mar 2004 20:56 GMT2
I'm in a bit of a quandry regarding having either a TURP or a laser

straightforward. Advice/suggestions welcomed.
Following a routine blood test a year ago, at age 58, I was found to have a

Quick question.  I read earlier that cranberries were either good or bad for
urinary problems and I can't remember which.  Anybody have an answer, or was

self inserted catheter04 Mar 2004 17:31 GMT1
I'm a pretty squeamish person and I was able to do it.  The diameter
of the catheter is much smaller than the catheter they use in the

I found there is virtually no pain on insertion -- just a bit of

I had a TURP performed last May, which helped me for about a month,
and then BPH symptoms slowly came back. My urologist performed yet
another TURP in January of this year, and now BPH symptoms are already
back again, even though after this surgery my uro said he "really

Have been taking (160 mg twice/day)  for bph problem for 6 months now, and
doubt that it has had any effect, whatever.
