Just been knocked back from the East Yorkshire PCT in respect of the PVP operation that I was hoping to have, they are of the opinion that there is no proof that the operation has any benefits over the conventional BNI/TUIP and have declined to offer funding.

Accompanying my daughter today for a CT scan met a guy who was diagnosed by biopsy in Sept 2003 with Cancer of the prostate after a PSA of 14 He still has not been operated on !!!!!!!!!! Instead they have messed about doing a CT scan and then will in 2 weeks time

Wonder why you can't find more doctors that do the PVP? I have been reading this post for a few weeks now and for the most part the treatment PVP seems like its the way i want to go.
