PVP+45+ a scare18 Jan 2004 20:55 GMT4
Well, I expect I'll get a few "We told you so's" to this one!<G>
Had a long hard day out shooting (hunting) yesterday. The birds
were scarce and wild and I had a party of six to keep happy.
Part of my ground has been "mounded" for forestry. A machine

Overactive Bladder:17 Jan 2004 22:23 GMT19
I would like to post my story on Bph and PVP but I'm 10 weeks past PVP
surgery and having a problem. I still have urgency and frequency, about six
times during the day and can be up to ten times at night ,last night it was
five times. I think it is strictly a overactive bladder ...

detrusor contractions typical of detrusor over activity" Uro said
surgery or flomax+detrusitol or do nothing and see what happens. The
BPH mechanism Question; Don't Really Understand ?17 Jan 2004 00:00 GMT3
Still trying to understand this bph malady.
Real dumb questions, but please consider them as just beginner questions,
and bear with me:
O.K., so the enlarged prostate squeezes the bladder.

A brief update - I'll try to do a full report on the PVP experience
itself soon, when I've stopped taking the antibiotics and have my
usual energy levels back!

PVP+43 days (UK)16 Jan 2004 15:01 GMT2
As I predicted, a very boring report.
Everything going well here. Completed the 400 mile dogmeat run
with only one stop in a lay-by for a snooze (previously I'd
have four or five). That was with my day starting at around 9am
Post-Radiation-Surgery Biopsies15 Jan 2004 13:24 GMT1
Is it wise to have regular biopsies after the radiation treatments for
BPH ?
1 day post PVP14 Jan 2004 03:39 GMT28
I'm a 56 year old male who had a PVP performed by the Mayo Clinic yesterday
January 2nd.  Mayo Clinic is an amazing institution and the PVP procedure is
outstanding.
I've had BPH symptoms for a number of years.  PSA was 0.9, prostate biopsy
Jekyll and Hide13 Jan 2004 15:49 GMT2
7 weeks post-PVP and still miserable during the day. Urgency and quite a bit
of pain on urination.
Then it all lets up in the afternoon, and by dinner I'm fine. Good stream,
no urgency or pain. Nights are marked by getting up twice with good stream
PVP in Scotland13 Jan 2004 14:19 GMT9
I think I read on this group that PVP is available at Dundee and
Edinburgh, UK. I'm afraid that is not so. There is confusion up
here between PVP and the other laser procedures.
The latter are available (and not recommended by the group) but
Dr. Te on Television12 Jan 2004 13:10 GMT1
Our local ABC affiliate does a "healthcast" on the evening local news.  The
local announcer does the voice over, but the video clip, I am sure, is bought
from a national syndicator.  Anyway, both 6:00 and 11:00 tonight featured a two
or three minute piece all about PVP and a brief ...
PVP +1 week12 Jan 2004 04:10 GMT2
My PVP was done on January 2, 2004.   I had two primary objectives:  remove
the urinary blockage; and, minimize pain and discomfort.   After one week,
my PVP rates high on both issues.  Flow starts quickly and is very strong.
There is no straining, trying to finish, nor any burning ...
