I had a TURP a couple years ago, before PVP was available. Since then, I've noticed flow rate varies quite a bit. It goes from really good to pretty bad. The pretty bad seems to happen couple months. Diet doesn't seem to influence it, and I'm not using any OTC cold remedies. ...

Was diognosed with bph about six months ago. Only complaint is the frequent (once or twice) urination need at night. Urologist suggested trying Saw Palmetto, which I have with absolutely no changes or help.

I've read a couple cursory remarks in magazines advising not to eat Bell Peppers if you have prostate troubles, although Google searches will only call up long lists of links recommending eating Red Bell Peppers for the lycopene content to prevent cancer.

I had my PVP at Haywards Heath in the Princess Royal Hospital under Mr Nawrocki on Thursday 08/01/04 through the NHS (that's the UK National Health Service). There are 2 centres in Haywards Heath and the 2 surgeons cooperate quite extensively.
