PSA after PVP21 Oct 2003 04:23 GMT5
I think it would be interesting to this group to know what happens to
PSA readings after PVP?  I'm wondering if it should go down because of
a reduction in prostate volume and blockage, or rise, in my case,
because I've stopped taking Proscar?  Can anyone share their
PVP plus 3 days21 Oct 2003 02:44 GMT13

and a TUIP in 2002, neither one of which worked.  My uro does TURPs, but
he did not push me to have the TURP, saying he understood my reluctance,
but the Roto-Rooter was what he did.  I had a PVP done by Dr. ...
Amount of prostate tissue removed by PVP20 Oct 2003 20:43 GMT3
Someone asked a question about how much of the prostate is removed by PVP.
Although I don't have an answer based on measurements of the prostate before
and after PVP,  I did some calculations using PSAs before and after PVP to
come up with an estimate.

After your PVP --- those of you who were taking 2 Flomax pills per day -
did your uro instruct you to continue 2 Flomax per day for one week ---
then 1 Flomax per day the second week -- then discontinue?
Thanks for your help.

PVP for PBNO19 Oct 2003 16:17 GMT2
Does anyone know if PVP would be helpful for Primary Bladder Neck
Obstruction (PBNO)? This condition is caused by a over sensitive muscle at
the bladder neck. The muscle doesn't completely relax causing low urine flow
and dribbling. Does anyone know what would be the chances of ...

Biopsy suspected tissue with a PVP?18 Oct 2003 21:32 GMT5
I wanted to give you some more info from my previous message.
I see that PVP seems to be the most acclaimed method today. I had a TURP
almost 3 years ago. A couple of months ago I had some chunks of blood in my
urine. I had an MRI and x-rays and did not show any kidney stones. My
