Problems with Flying?15 Jul 2003 05:03 GMT3
I've not flown anywhere since my BPH problem has started. I
occasionally hear that folks have a real problem with the pressurized
cabin flaring up the prostate.
I'm about to take an 8 hour flight to England...what will I be facing?
Proscar+Hytrin comments ?13 Jul 2003 17:27 GMT4
I had pretty well decided that a PVP procedure was the way to go to
eliminate my problems.  Went to the Doc for his opinions and he said
his opinion is, this should be a last resort.  He prescribed Proscar
for long time prostrate shrinkage and Hytrin to increase flow.
Please spell out acronyms the first time used in a thread!13 Jul 2003 02:07 GMT6
This is a great newsgroup, but frustrating for the occasional reader. All
those acronyms! PVP, TURP, TUNA, etc. Is there no group FAQ? Where can I

doctor noted two things on the exam - an enlarged prostate and blood

Any athletes in the NG? I'm 52, love to run. I'm currently overweight
about 30 lbs, but working on it. I have no health problems other than
BPH. I take Hytrin 10mg, Proscar 5mg, and Saw Palmetto. I just started
on the Proscar about a month ago, it has made a difference in
Should I be on Flowmax?04 Jul 2003 00:07 GMT2
I'm 48, have had a vasectomy, and just had a recurrence of prostatitis
- an episode a year for about 5 years now - and was on Cipro for 14
days and then Floxotine [or something close to that name]  for 14 days
with a 2 week break inbetween.
Visit to PVP Doctor in Rhode Island03 Jul 2003 17:56 GMT1
Two days ago (June 30) I visited Dr. Barry Stein at Rhode Island
Hospital in Providence. He took a urine sample, poked my abdomen, and
did a rectal digital exam. I am supposed to go back for an ultrasound
to check the size of my prostate, and also have the urine flow rate

Hi guys, after sex I have very good flow, better then any other time.  Is
this just me or is this a common factor with all BPH men?
