I have liver disease that was aggravated by five different attempts to use
statin drugs - three by the cardiologist
and two by the internist.   I refused to take anymore statins and have been
managing my cholesterol with diet,

My doctor gave me a prescription yesterday for Di-Cal-D.  Sixty tablets.  
I am really puzzled because this stuff is available OTC in bottles of 100
tablets.  Why would I need to use a prescription?

When reading information on a drug, how to find out whether it is
brand-name or generic?  For instance, where's the inforamtion in the

Someone told me one of the big chains is starting to scan their hard
copies, and will no longer bother to put them in order, but just bundle
them up day by day.

Bayer's Aspirin (in the bottle)? Does it not smell like heroin? It does to
