Is salt REALLY that bad for you?02 Aug 2005 19:29 GMT6
I keep hearing how people consume way too much salt, how it contributes
to all sorts of health problems, etc.  I decided to lower my salt
intake.  Soon after, I noticed I often got these horrible cramps --
usually in the middle of the night . . . as if I don't have enough
Re: Mercury and Tuna: Advice Leaves Questions02 Aug 2005 14:51 GMT1
Don't forget that the USDA is American and analyses almost totally
American produce. I've found many cases where the USDA differs
from Canadian labels and whenever I've been able to trace sources,

I tried this supplement for the first time a couple of days ago. I
normally am quite unmotivated and fatigued. The effect was amazing,
elevated mood and energy throughout the day. However, when it is time
to sleep, I am way too restless for that. Second day in a row. Is this

Racing/Pounding Heart from Soy Beans?01 Aug 2005 23:40 GMT8
I have a lot of food intolerances, but can tolerate most beans if they
are cooked well and eaten with digestive enzymes.  I hadn't eaten soy
for a long time and last evening decide to include a can (brand:
Westbrae Natural. Ingr: water, organic soybeans, sea salt). About 45
microwaving01 Aug 2005 21:35 GMT5
Microwaving is very convenient but I read a study a while ago showing that
microwavinhg destroyed just about all the flavinoids in broccoli. I have
oatmeal every morning which I microwave and I 'snack' on sweet potato. What
do you think?
Omega3s in frozen fish01 Aug 2005 18:24 GMT4
Is there some loss of Omega3s in (raw) frozen or deep-frozen fish, over
time?

This might be of interest to many -- especially to Montygram. :-)

non stick pans01 Aug 2005 15:31 GMT1
I recently read a newletter alert from Dr. Mercola that states that teflon
coating, or any non stick coating pans, especially if scratched, should all
be thrown out because they cause cancer.
We have so many things that cause cancer, perhaps one of the biggest being

product called OxyAge (it's actually an antioxidant product) and, like detox
regimes I've read about in the past, the info says it can make you feel
worse before you feel better (http://www.oxyage ...
