The joke is on those whose theology doesn't allow them to go where the
evidence leads, otherwise being content to accept conspiracy of "them" as
the reason something exists.  My little bit of humor was to show that this
is a door swinging both ways.  If research should be ...

I am new to this group.
As a gerontologist, I enjoy sharing my expertise in issues related
to aging with people throughout the world. In my research, I have

Looking for articles on required water consumption15 Jun 2004 12:27 GMT2
I developed a kidney stone recently and let me tell you it really sucks.
Part of the prevention program is drinking water.  The urologist tells
me that I should dring one gallon a day!  That's 128 ounces, or eight of
those 16-oz sports bottles.  Yow.  How I am supposed to do this ...

Spirulina Seaweed14 Jun 2004 22:23 GMT8
I'm looking for ideas for a nutritious low carb snack food as I do a lot of
travelling - thinking of wrapping salad i.e. tuna, chicken etc in Spirulina
seaweed - and preparing it 'sushi style' - checked the nutritional analysis
of spirulina and pretty amazed - loads of protein etc ...

sweeteners14 Jun 2004 15:31 GMT3
OK, if I'm *going* to use a sweetener, and I don't like Stevia
or artificial sweeteners, what's the best thing to use?  Honey?

Purity of RO Water14 Jun 2004 04:11 GMT1
I had thought that reverse-osmosis filtered water was more pure than even
distilled water. Now I read an article that said that RO water still retained
20 percent of the "hardness", esp dissolved calcium. That doesn't sound very
pure, to me. How pure is reverse osmosis water, I ...

selenium, can there be too much?13 Jun 2004 13:55 GMT5

selenium to consider.  This research suggests that too many antiox effects
of selenium may be a risk factor for diabetes:

Just started watching my nutrition12 Jun 2004 23:53 GMT2
I'm using a free online service which is supposed to be helping me
track my work-outs and my diet.  It seems pretty good, but I do want
to ask some questions to people who may know (by the way, the site I'm
using is www.freetrainers.com).
