Risperdal vs. Lorazetam(sp?)06 Jan 2006 06:31 GMT7
Anyone have experience with the effects of either on helping eldery patients
with dementia to sleep?
In this case, 1/2mg of Lorazatam(sp?) helps a little, but 1mg puts the
patient into a drunken-like state of mind and gives more problems sleeping

the lump removed is firboadenoma, is it considered as pre-existing
definition of gene, of chromosome, and difference between one species to another05 Jan 2006 20:36 GMT3
Do we have a clear definition of gene and chromosome? I remember the
definition of gene used to hinge on the idea that one gene produces one
protein.
What I want to know, as this question arose in sci.math thread, is

Dupuytren's Contracture and digoxin05 Jan 2006 15:11 GMT1
My father's Dupuytren's Contracture issues with his fingers cleared
right up once he was on digoxin for his heart issues. He's convinced
that there's a causal link. Is this at all plausible? I can't see what
the putative mechanism would be.

Venous leg ulcers and elevation.04 Jan 2006 11:36 GMT4
A relative has chronic venous leg ulcers, one on each leg. Elevation
is apparently highly recommended. I am looking for information on ways
to elevate the limb(s), bearing in mind that these wounds are painful,
and that my relative's general mobility is poor, due to other
When do HEMROIDS require surgery?04 Jan 2006 10:58 GMT1
I went to a basketball tournament last week and after sitting through
several hours of games on very hard seating I have developed a case of
what I would call EXTERNAL hemroids.  You can feel what is like a large
grape-like bulge right near my anus.  It is more annoying than it is
