I have seem quite a few specialists in both the US and UK, and they

Complication rates for hospitals in Oregon08 Nov 2004 18:26 GMT1
I'm facing surgery soon, and I'm trying to make the best informed choice of
doctors, surgeons and hospitals. I'm fairly well insured.
My primary insurer offers a tool for analysis of facilities,
http://bcbassoc.sqtool.com, for length of stay and complications rate.
Question about spinal fracture08 Nov 2004 18:25 GMT4
In her book "Saying Goodbye to Daniel: When Death is the Best Choice",
Juliet Rothman writes about the story of her 21-year-old son, who
became quadriplegic after a diving accident. Originally he was
diagnosed with a C4-C5 fracture, and after the accident he was able to

I have had ear problems for the past while, I will give you the jist of it.
When I was a child I had to have Tubes put in my ears for draining. They
fell out but only one of the holes closed.
I never had the open hole repaired. I am currently trying to get into a

Chemotheraphy Question08 Nov 2004 06:54 GMT1
My 58-year old mother had hysterectomy recently, because one of her
ovaries had a cancerous cyst. Her surgeon told her that none of the
organs currently in her body have cancer in them, but cancer was present
in the wash post-sugery. Therefore, she must now undergo chemotherapy
uneven circulation in fingers?08 Nov 2004 00:55 GMT2
Perhaps someone would know the answer, or could direct me somewhere
for this:
My fingers often become cold, even when the air temperature is
perfectly warm.  Also, sometimes some fingers will be warm and others
The "mental illness" scam !07 Nov 2004 23:45 GMT3
The "mental illness" scam !
Years ago I did some research into many of the forms of mental illness
and found that one key flaw existed...and that was that if, and i
repeat the word, if no organic cause for 'mental symptoms' existed
Arafat's coma and low platelets07 Nov 2004 13:57 GMT12
Any chance that the Palestinian leader has TTP (thrombotic
thrombocytopenic purpura)?
Use of anti-psychotics07 Nov 2004 12:28 GMT33
I have a question about the use of anti-psychotics, like Zyprexa for
example.  Why do some psychiatrists prescribe over 20 mg/day of
Zyprexa for example, when on the label it says it has specifically
only been tested at maximum dosage of 20 mg/day, for example by the
back/groin pull problems --- advice??07 Nov 2004 08:21 GMT1
Howdy. I've been having a lot of back problems. Usually, walking (and
treadmill) takes care of it.
This last time, after doing the treadmill, I felt some soreness in the groin
(actually upper left inner thigh). A few days later, that got better so I

Caught in spotlight again, was Zetia 07 Nov 2004 00:46 GMT1
Ah, true to form, a. chung continues a string of cross posting which he
starts by using a single group thread and then adding others to it's
header.  It is intresting, and instructive, that almost without exclusion
those groups are those in which people have had negative comments ...
Prediction true, self glorification, was Emory 07 Nov 2004 00:44 GMT1
Ah, a. chung, as predicted, uses another single group message to add
several unrelated groups to make a control demonstration, a face saving
gesture.  This one is intresting because he does it in order to do a bit
of self glorification by tying himsef to an old bit of research.  ...
Very fuzzy hearing06 Nov 2004 23:01 GMT1
My hearing seems to have become very dull over a few years.
If I hold my nose and blow it, momentarily it clears and I can hear higher
frequencies and more clearly but within a few seconds they kind of close up
again.
