I was recently diagnosed with GERD and was on medications such as
Zantac, Prilosec, and now Aciphex.  The burning sensation is gone but
I get this strange feeling like I have something in my lower throat
several minutes after eating.

I took my one-week regimen of clindamycin.  I'm not sure it got rid of all the
tooth infection, but maybe it did.
The problem now is I think I got a touch of that 'pseudomembraneous colitis'
from the clindamycin and the previous penicillin.
