Blood tests01 Apr 2004 00:01 GMT2
When a doctor requests a patient to have a blood test and asks, among other
things, for "blood count" and to check for anemia, liver and kidney
function, what information is generally given? Meaning what exactly is
"counted" and what can be determined?

Seasonal Depression: Two Peaks: Winter and Summer: Low DHEA
Copyright 2004, James Michael Howard, Fayetteville, Arkansas, U.S.A.
In 1985, I first suggested depression may result from low dehydroepiandrosterone
(DHEA).  This has since been supported.  I have just recently had the ...
Is "Pidgeon-Feet" fixable?31 Mar 2004 15:40 GMT5
I was born this way, my mom said, like my dad. When I sit down and
touch my toes, my feet just fall sideways. When I walk they curve out.
When I run, they straighten out people tell me.
Is there anything that can fix this?
Iron Supplements31 Mar 2004 00:09 GMT1
Is there any danger in taking iron supplements? I was "prescribed" them
after going through some internal bleeding problems. Should I be in a hurry
to get off them if my iron levels are back to normal or close?
Thanks

Itchy, red bumps on both forearms...what was this rash?30 Mar 2004 13:35 GMT6
This Monday night I noticed a rash on both of my inner forearms,

Tuesday morning it was still there, and throughout the day Tuesday the
Legal recourse, where is the line?(somewhat long)30 Mar 2004 10:43 GMT51
Hello and sorry about the crossposting, but I thought this issue would
be
related to all the newsgroups.  My question has two parts, what is
legal and what actions can a person do if they feel wronged.
blood tests question (bilirubin and iron)30 Mar 2004 08:27 GMT10
I received results from some blood testing today.  There were a few
things which were out of range.  I have no history of elevated levels
of these three things, and I'm not on medications and have no history
of disease and do not drink alcohol, etc. This was just testing done

Well, I think you can train germs like you train big animals. Many of

I'd like to know more about when "epi" is used prior to surgery, especially
when injected along with the local anesthetic.  Is it virtually always used
provided the patient is not sensitive to it?  Are there any surgeries done
under local when it's normally NOT used?  How long has ...
systolic goes up but diastolic goes down28 Mar 2004 23:25 GMT1
A friend was admitted to the hospital with very low blood pressure
(70/40).  While they were monitoring it, the systolic would rise but
the diastolic would drop.
What might cause this to happen?
