Had a specialist in Boston review my biopsy slide.  Here is his
report:
"This lesion is indeed an example of lupus erythermatosous of the
discoid type.  It interestingly shows a very thickened basement

Finally home again.  Trip was good coming home with no road problems but for
the City of Atlanta, which of course is busy bee with ruts.

Has anyone in this group been on Cytoxan.  I think I'll be starting it
soon since I can't get my insurance to pay for the rhutuxamab
treatment.  I'd just like to hear about other people's exeperiences
with it, good, bad or indifferent,

Pentoxifylline is used .. specifically .. to lower red blood cell
count / erythrocytosis .. and erythrocytosis is KNOWN to .. cause ..
kidney disease .. so .. is .. ? .. the cause .. ? .. increased red
blood cell count .. ? .. / erythrocytosis .. ?

Anyone care to venture a guess why phlebotomy / bloodletting isn't
used in lupus or arthritis when a drug that is an "alternative to
bloodletting" .. IS .. readily prescribed .. ?

It is time some one defended Plaquinal       After taking it for 22
years and prednisone for 25 years  I am still alive and still

My niece is going through diagnoses h***. At this time most do not thing
she has lupus, but I am not convinced.  Autoimmune cuases have been
suggested and there is some history in her family.  Symptoms do not seem
classic (whatever that is) to lupus.

Okay...Friends...Most of you know I don't have lupus, but found you all a
few years ago when self dx myself and ran across this group and fell in love
with all of you and just started hanging out...cause you all are
great...turns out I just suffer FM and OA...So I am very lucky...

I saw a gastro doctor today, who finally took me seriously and explained why
I've had the current run of tests, apprently I am a puzzle to the medical
proffesion!!   He has today ordered one last test, but and this is the good
thing, he didn't brush it off when I mentioned Lupus, ...
