Hi I have Lupus SLE and APLS and my flares are getting a lot worse and
I'm just looking for some ideas on some methods on helping with the

I am having a difficult time at night with my limbs going numb. I could see
if I lay on my right side and it goes numb but sometimes it is the opposite
side and if I sleep on my back both my arms go numb. Does anyone else have
this problem and what is causing it?

I have lung problems with lupus, as many do; have had lupus pneumonitis,
pleurisy, asthma, etc. & I've gotten a bit of relief when I took up the
flute 2 years ago. I LOVE it! I guess it could be any wind instrument; I

Since I posted here last summer, I have finally gotten myself an
appointment with a specialist in London and Guys And St Thomas's  (the
NHS works very very slowly) which I am very excited about as I know
they have one of the best units for Lupus sufferers.

The reason you have not heard from me is I have been really busy at work and
I have been nursing my oldster Labrador "Bubba". I finally had to say
goodbye last Wed. It was a rough one. My daughter felt like it was the end
of her childhood. Being that was the last of her "playmates" ...
