Off prednisolone after 26 years26 Jun 2005 09:22 GMT14
I wanted to tell you all that I finally got off the hated, addictive
prednisolone!
After a few months on 1 mg alternate days (I checked with the doc first) I

YOU'LL NEVER BELIEVE THIS!!!26 Jun 2005 03:04 GMT4
Deb here, i know that this is going to be really hard to take in but today
it's 32 degrees in Yorkshire (yes UK).
Unbearable, i feel so ill; that'll teach me for saying that the one good
thing about the UK is the glorious lack of sunshine.
Newbie needs any and all advice25 Jun 2005 23:28 GMT11
A close friend's mother has had lupus for some time.  Recently, she has
started to become forgetful and spacey.  For example, she has
repeatedly driven to the store, then taken the bus home having
forgotten that she drove there.  Is this a part of the disease?  She is
Calcium24 Jun 2005 00:19 GMT9
Did someone mention osteoporosis?
I've been meaning to mention this.
Several months ago, a health doctor guru type said that women can't absorb
as much calcium as men do.
BJ?24 Jun 2005 00:18 GMT5
Anyone heard from BJ lately?
Last I heard was Wednesday.
There's flooding and tornados in S.Sask.
Just wondering if anyone else has heard more recently from her?
flare?24 Jun 2005 00:14 GMT2
I have no idea what's going on but I must be in one of the worst flares for
me.
Tuesday, I didn't get out of bed until 5pm.  I could barely keep my eyelids
open.... they were SO heavy.
Hands falling asleep, numb and hot flashes22 Jun 2005 22:28 GMT11
Hello, I've been having troubles sleeping for the past few months. As
soon as I get comfortable my arms and hands tingle, and fall asleep and
are in pain when they start un-numbing again. It's rather frustrating
and painful and weird. Then when i finally manage to get back to sleep
Hurts to talk - straining!22 Jun 2005 21:32 GMT2
Hi there, I'm trying to determine what is causing my voice to hurt. You
know that feeling when you're about to burst into tears and you get
that lump in  your throat and it hurts to talk. Well my voice always
hurts to talk and it's exhausting to talk. It hurts to swallow like
Finger and foot lesions21 Jun 2005 09:08 GMT3
I seem to be having a bout of vasculitis, and I was curious if anyone
else ever got painful lesions on even the bottom of their toes from
this!

CGT- I'm so proud!19 Jun 2005 15:41 GMT14
Ok, it's OT but I'm so proud of myself. For starters my grades have been A's
in all my classes. But OTOH it seems I do nothing but schoolwork when we are
not working on the kitchen. But as for my CGT we had an assignment in
Creative Writing to take music and have it inspire us to ...
Ligaments/tendons/bones/joints17 Jun 2005 10:47 GMT5
Ligaments (lig-ah-ments) connect bone to bone and
Tendons (ten-duns) attach muscle to bone.
Joints occur where two bones meet. They make the skeleton flexible -
without them, movement would be impossible. Muscles are also necessary for
I forget your names, but I don't forget you - Roll Call to  alt.support.lupus17 Jun 2005 10:39 GMT49
Or sometimes I remember your names, but I can't remember your specific
situations.
How's that for a request for a rollcall?
Bev emailed last night. She's well but very busy.
WHINING16 Jun 2005 14:44 GMT18
here it is  another beautiful day and the sun is bright and lethal
for me.  I want and need to go outside.  The solumbra clothes, hat and
sunblock are not working anymore and even 40 minutes in a car with
windows that have UV preventable film on them gave me 5 days in bed.
