blood15 Jun 2004 15:50 GMT2
Further on the topic of blood -- the Canadian blood services has a good
site -- http://www.bloodservices.ca/.
Aside from donating 'whole' blood, people can donate platelets or
plasma, OR register with the bone marrow registry.
Imuran, Cytoxan13 Jun 2004 06:32 GMT8
I read with great interest that some are on Imuran, Cytoxan, they sound like
really 'serious and big' drugs. My question is, what calls for use for these
drugs? Is it when pred. are no longer working?
Thanks, love - bin
OT: maybe? getting help12 Jun 2004 21:29 GMT2
I called the local hospital as they seem to have classes for just about
everything these days, parenting, menopause, diabetes, etc. No classes for
hypertension. That surprised me as I thought that would be so common that
they would have a class for that. So I asked where I might ...

ER for me12 Jun 2004 17:29 GMT17
Well, I wound up in the ER yesterday. They (the other teachers) wanted to
call the ambulance and I said "no" - I wanted my husband. Pulse was erratic,
heart was doing funny things, unbelievable thirst, and all I could think was
here comes my heart attack. I was at the hospital by 3 ...

lymphocytes 0.5?11 Jun 2004 20:00 GMT9
A recent blood test as part of azathioprine monitoring showed my
lymphocytes at 0.5. Everything else seems ok.
Can anyone advise me on this? I know low  lymphocytes are part of lupus
but  my doctor thought 0.5 was a bit extreme.
Am I the only female11 Jun 2004 18:18 GMT11
who wants to see female docs?  Is it really so odd not to want to be poked
and prodded by a man that isn't my husband?
seriously, I need input and this isn't a subject I can joke about right now.
I can understand being in an emergency situation you take what you can get
The dreaded Hives?11 Jun 2004 18:12 GMT19
I dunno - I remember my sister breaking out in hives just before she was
diagnosed.  In fact, it was like the last straw before they took her to the
doctor to figure out what the heck was wrong.  The only time I've ever had
them was when I was a kid and had some sort of allergic ...

I am looking for a new ISP (Internet Service Provider) as the one I am using

hear from folks who are happy with their provider.  I live in Northern
California.  I am considering NetZero, so if any of you ...

Just wanted you to know what the outcome of all that is going on.
