It's winter in OHIO, and the gentle breezes blow,  70 miles per hour and 52
below!  Oh how I love OHIO, when the snow's up to your butt,  you take a
breath
of winter air,  and your nose it freezes shut.  Yes the weather here is
Just me.17 Feb 2004 15:31 GMT7
Hi.   This is just me introducing myself to the group. I am David almost 60
(March 9), and up to 2 years ago I had never heard of Lupus and then the
rheumatologist seeing me for arthritis told me that I probably have Lupus.
I took lots of medications for arthritis and nothing was ...

My keyboard is on it's way out.
My mouse is partly broke, but is now working better than this morning.
This uncertainty is driving me bananas.
Hugs to Bev,  sorry I missed you.
Calling Sharon--liver?17 Feb 2004 03:30 GMT8
Hi Sharon,
Did you get the results of the liver panel? What did doc say about the
bruising and bleeding? Pardon me for being slow on the uptake, but what was
the source of the blood? (if you don't mind saying) I didn't know what you
Thank you16 Feb 2004 12:29 GMT4
To Cindy, Bev, Shelagh, BJ, Wes, REP, Andy, Maggie, Stephanie, and Nina
I hate using the word "can't" but every time I go to read and reply to
your posts, I start crying and have to abandon.
I know it's silly, it's just a cat, but it will take me some time.
Autonomic nervous system16 Feb 2004 08:44 GMT19
I am just interested to know how many of you out there have had their
autonomic nervous system effected by their lupus. This happens to me
whenever I am in a major flare. Was wondering if this is a common occurance.

OT For those following the upgrades16 Feb 2004 05:13 GMT10
Well, we have begun the process for the next counter. Seems there is a
nightmare of plumbing under the sink so it was off to our local Lowe's store
for plumbing thingies. I sat on the floor at Lowe's looking for two cut-off
valves with double compression fittings of a certain size ...

I'm still alive!15 Feb 2004 20:40 GMT12
Well I made it through my guitar recital intact and still alive. Proud of
myself for having the courage to do it. It was not perfect but only myself,
God and my teacher knew. It was a big step for me. And my husband was there
to support me. Something different from the past. I'm ...
OT: curse words15 Feb 2004 20:21 GMT9
Well, the sink now has water flowing down the drain pipe. I also discovered
a few new words that I didn't know my husband knew! LOL We are now the proud
owners of 4 snakes, not the "pet" type -  the drain type. Seems the ones we
had on hand wouldn't make what is probably a 45 degree ...
Happy Valentine's Day15 Feb 2004 02:41 GMT5
If nothing else, may your day be filled with chocolates <smile>
Hugs and sticky chocolate sweet kisses to you all.
You to me are treasures, you to me are dears
So I'll give you my love and a bang on the ear  (whatever that means)
Update from Mair11 Feb 2004 23:06 GMT2
I am a little better today.  But I lay down for two hours, and got this
exciting idea to go out and do some shopping.  By the time I got up and put
on my clothes and sat down at the computer, I could tell how weak and dizzy
I am.  Better not to be driving a car or walking around a ...
Mouth sores - any tips?10 Feb 2004 15:59 GMT11
Hello again, long time no writing.  I haven't been back to the group
for a couple of years, but I have been having a little bit of a hard
time lately with the MCTD.  Now they say I have scleroderma, SLE,
polymyositis, Sjogren's, and fibro.  I am taking pred, plaquenil,
Mair grumpy10 Feb 2004 14:36 GMT3
I'm here, I am just in a grumpy mood, and so have not written any personal
letters today.  I forgot to take my Cytomel (one of my thyroid supplements)
for about a week, and the effect has caught up to me. Grumpy, dopey, sleepy,
any of those dwarves will do...

PML posted earlier about his wife.
Someone else (besides Paula) has mentioned Staph infections.
If you could, how do you battle those?
