i have a question about smoking out of a pipe during herpes outbreaks.
please spare me the advice that i should quit smoking.  i'm already aware of
that.  i know its bad for my immune system, and a lot of other reasons, but
that isn't what i'm asking about.

I have had oral herpes (HSV-1) for about 20 years now.
Nevertheless, I still feel very confused about triggers, treatments,
research, etc.
