Can HSV (I or II) be transmitted through tainted blood?
My wife had surgeries (many years ago) and blood was given.

I could have sworn that I checked into the Herpes hotel seven years ago. I
had a one night stand, wearing a condom,  and then three weeks later I had
an outbreak of many little blisters on my upper inner thigh.  It wasn't
painful or itchy but rather sensitive to the touch.  Funny ...

How many days after hsv1 infection do you get symptoms? can symptom start a
few hrs after infection? as in a tingling sensation in the affected area but
no cold sore? or does the symptoms only start after a few days?
