Again, please ignore the question about my kid on the above post. It was meant for another group. My husband gets cold sores and I have contracted HSV1 genitally from him (don't think I need to go into detail on "how" this happened!

Last week my girlfriend had an outbreak for the first time of sores around the genital area and a swab was taken by the doctor. The results are due in soon but everything points to herpes. This outbreak occured a few days after we first had sex.
