ok, i'm back.  i realize my last couple of posts were rambling and
weird.  but, they were written under the influence of Ambien right
before bed.  I've been tapering off vicodin for a month and having
trouble sleeping.  the dr.s tried benzo's, didn't work, then

Hepatitis C Blood Ammonia24 Mar 2009 00:54 GMT3
I struck up conversation with the secretary at the lab that draws my
blood tests.  She knows I had Hep C.  I have been clear since 2005.
She says her husband has Hep C and second stage cirrhosis.  He is
taking lactulose for his ammonia levels.  She insists that the do
Idiotic Surgery Story22 Mar 2009 23:36 GMT5
So I go into the hopital practcally wearing a billboard that says, "I've got
HCV" because I've got a horror of infecting anyone.  The day I get home, the
Infectious Diseases nurse calls me.  Now, is everyone sitting down?  .....It
turns out one of the surgical nurses not only did ...

I'm just a little nervous. I have genome type 2B. My ALTs range between 200
& 400 although my viral load is relatively low. I've had a minor heart
attack and the cardiologist has me on 60mg of lipitor daily which may or may
not be part of the reason for the higher ALTs. In any ...

Stalling the Hep C Virus - from Hepatitis Central16 Mar 2009 00:39 GMT10
Dear friends,
Many of us find that it is necessary to put off the next/first round of
combination therapy to treat the virus.  All I can say is I have been
following a strict regimen that appears to parallel the advice given to us

Vertex (Telaprevir VX 950) aquires polymerase inhibitor rights from ViroChem08 Mar 2009 21:27 GMT2
This only mentions applications in treatment naive patients.  I wonder about
non-responders, relapsers and the Infereron intolerant due to wbc counts.
If I had money I would buy some of this, they are trading about 20% below
their 52 week high, which shows they have recovered from ...
how long withdrawals05 Mar 2009 18:22 GMT10
I could use a little help here.  I decided to speed up the withdrawal
process.  I was on 10/225 hydrocodone 4x's day for most of the year of
treatment.  I started cutting back on Friday and stopped this am.  I
feel like I was run over by a truck, achey, runny nose, chills etc.
withdrawals?03 Mar 2009 17:58 GMT14
I take my last Riba pills on friday.  I'm too lazy to search the
archives so just thought I'd ask; are they any tips for going thru w/
drawls?  I'm taking 1 tab of codeine/tylenol every 3 to 4 hours.  I
pop my first one in the am about an hour before I get out of bed. and
why don't dr.s catch the dragon earlier?01 Mar 2009 23:08 GMT6
It's a little late to be asking this, but I can't help wondering why
my regular dr. never detected the virus until last year.  I saw him
3-4 times a year every year, for years.  I had problems with low
energy long before they found it.  And to the best of my recollection,
