Michael, I'm going to be in Seattle next month for a cruise to Alaska.
If you hear a shout from the direction of SeaTac airport or the pier,
it'll be me shouting at you.

How bad is drinking while infected?14 Jun 2007 22:10 GMT4
A dear friend of mine has Hep C and drink beer like a fish swallows
water. I tell him it is the worst thing for him, but he seems not to
believe me. Can someone in the know respond with definitive info or
links so that I can show him what awaits him if he does not stop
Tx and stents?11 Jun 2007 21:42 GMT3
Anyone have any info as to the damage if any to stents.  Do you think
peg is toxic enough to desolve a stent. Any stent from aorta to
heart?  I have never heard this subject come up.

The drill10 Jun 2007 20:11 GMT2
Here's the parts of the 48-week routine that's not on the pegassist
site, (and actually it's survivable):
- "where's my meds" calls to the sympathetic person at the pharmacy who
always helps me out.
insurance ??10 Jun 2007 16:17 GMT4
I have an average health insurance policy at work.  Will insurance help
pay for tx?
Thanks...Deb
Week 3 is over09 Jun 2007 18:09 GMT3
The clinical trial continues. Today my passion is discovering if I revived
THE drug. Each day my conclusion changes. No sides other than what I know so
well- can't have it. I am exactly where I anticipated being on the anemia
curve and the irritability slide. Wait my depression ...
Need Some Honest Advice08 Jun 2007 05:14 GMT18
My friend Kevin is dying. No sense in pulling any punches; he's lasted much
longer than his doctors ever thought he would.  Now he's decided I'm the
Queen of HCV (because I've hung out here a lot and learned a lot, and
because I'm not too far behind him physically) and he will ...
question about taking blood07 Jun 2007 15:05 GMT3
I am on treatment and blood is taken often. Sometimes the vials are put in
ice water and sometimes not. Does anyone know why?

Pegylated interferon and ribavirin07 Jun 2007 05:06 GMT21
Now who to .. believe .. the researchers who find .. "The treatment of
hepatitis C with the combination of pegylated interferon and ribavirin
is still both problematic and costly, has suboptimal efficacy, serious
side effects and a high level of intolerance, and is contraindicated
Shot #307 Jun 2007 04:15 GMT5
Had the 3rd shot of Peg-Intron (120mcg) on Friday (4 days ago). So
far, have taken every shot and every pill of Ribavirin (1000mg/day) as
prescribed. Not feeling too bad at all--occasional stomach discomfort,
some diarrhea, moderate fatigue and need to sleep at least 8-10
Intravenous Vitamin C Treatment?07 Jun 2007 04:00 GMT5
Has anyone undergone Intravenous Vitamin C treatment for Hepatitis C? Dr
Saul promotes it in his book "Doctor Youself".

a horrible thought05 Jun 2007 02:17 GMT16
I just read the Snag #1 thread, about pharmacies improperly storing peg-ifn
and nurses giving misinformation about storage temperature.
There is no known reason why some people are cured (haha, I used the C word)
and others are not.
Snag #102 Jun 2007 18:21 GMT9
Why not start Tx off with a snag:
The nurse that went over injections with me today said the Peg-Intron
pens could be kept at room temp.
I got home and all the lit. said refrigeate.
headaches01 Jun 2007 15:35 GMT9
My tx starts tomorrow adn I'm concerned about something.
Ever since last August, when I started taking an anti-depressant, I'v
ehad almost constant pressure in my head--sufafed gets rid of it when
it real bad and Acetaminophen when it's just "normal" (although I
mehhhh01 Jun 2007 07:26 GMT5
So today hit me by surprise. Feel bad today. Last week's CBC revealed
WBC/RBC going down. 1.8 to 1.6 (WHB) & RBC's down to 3.88 from 4.15,
hemoglobin up .01 from 13.3 to 13.4.
Need a visit to the eye-doc, too (vision blurrier). Lucky I didn't
