Would like a simple explanation of this disease.

I'm now in week 22 of tx. Before starting tx, my liver enzymes were in the
high-normal range but since starting, they have increased somewhat and are
now in the low-high range if that makes any sense.
Normal ALT    5-50    My ALT is about 60

Been lurking here for months and months and the brain fog has cleared
enough (thanks to the epogen) to figure out how to join in and post. I

Decided to check in ....
Im still in the process of getting my iron levels down so I can begin
the treatment.  My next appointment to see my doctor is coming up early
next month, which will be about two months since I saw him last.

A girlfriend of mine has a mother who has Hepatitis C.  She allows her
daughter, who is 3 years old, to bath with her grandma as well as have
daily contact with her, and has possibly shared sodas (the straws..)
with her, etc.

Well, my blood test finally came back negative for the virus so YAY!
Since it took so long, they are recommending I do the full 72 weeks of
tx which means I'll be doing this till next August, whew. Has anyone
else done the 72 weeks and how successful was it? Oh, and how did you

Ok, you've been diagnosed with Help C and the doctor wants to begin
