GOOD day/..OK  I'm excited..30 Aug 2006 16:35 GMT13
Hi everyone.. I hope ALL my family here are doing well.  I'm jazzed up
today, because, as I promised myself while I was on TX, the other day I
went to *Best Buy*  And bought myself a special present.
I'm not ashamed to say, that the other day all hourly employees at
Diabetic30 Aug 2006 04:43 GMT1
Any other diabetics in here.  I just took my 9th shot and my glucose
readings have been coming down steadily since I began treatment.  I suspect
I'll go hypoglycemic any day now and I was wondering how much I should cut
back on the Insulin when I do.  I'm taking 22 units before ...
WARNING! WARNING!29 Aug 2006 19:57 GMT8
I know alot of you feel pretty 'trashed' after doing the tx drugs, but
whatever you do, don't climb into a dumpster to take a nap.  Evidently,
that's what one of our local homeless folk did.  Boy, did she get a
surprise.  A trash truck showed up and emptied the dumpster she was in,
New HCV drug?28 Aug 2006 21:50 GMT1
My gastro (treating me for something else) recently told me there is a
new, more effective  HCV drug that looks like it could get FDA
approval in the beginning of 2007. He said it doesn't have a marketing
name yet, and that for now it is just called by a numeric/alphabetic

!/2 way there.
Its gone pretty quick. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate the side
effects a 2 or 3.
Hope it continues this way.
Any Poisitive Points?27 Aug 2006 13:15 GMT24
Hi,  I have just started Neupogen and will be on 3 times a week. I came
to this forum to find more information but mostly I found are negative
comments. All the side effects, aching bones and feeling sick. It just
made me more depressed and it's not my intention to come to this ...

48 down and 6 months to go25 Aug 2006 13:46 GMT18
until hopefully I get SVR.  What a trip this has been.  I could not of
done this without your compassion, knowledge and encouragement.  Would
I do this again - in a heartbeat if it meant my life being saved.  I
had a very difficult time with the side effects.  As most of you know I
FYI new data on retreatment24 Aug 2006 13:12 GMT12
Hi gang.  This summary is from a large Canadian study, published in July.
They retreated geno 1,2 and 3 relapsers and nonresponders with combo tx.
Some of the patients were only treated for 24 weeks (?!) and the Ribavirin
dose was only 800 mg daily(?!).  "When data were analysed ...
One down forty-seven to go.....22 Aug 2006 21:44 GMT32
Well, I started tx today. The anticipation of giving myself an
injection was much more painful then the actual injection. Had the
injection a couple hours ago and so far feel ok , just  a little warm.
Well, guess I'm going to go lie around watch some movies....

a "tough" question to answer21 Aug 2006 13:13 GMT10
I found out I might've been exposed to hepatitis c, though i certainly
hope not.  I was at my buddies last week and we went in the jacuzzi,
little did I know that earlier in the day he and his girlfriend had
been in there and she gave him a bl.wj.b in the tub (didn't swallow
