I had my last (48th) interferon injection last Saturday night. Next Friday I'll take my last five Ribavirin pills and then I'll be out of treatment. For me, being able to reach the end of treatment with almost no dosage

I talked to someone who did the nm283 mono trial. He said it worked great and held the virus in check. I wonder if to much is being put in to a "cure" instead of just keeping it at bay untill a sure way of killing it comes a long.

What kind of test should be used for the end of treatment test?? The dr gave me a PCR Quantitative which read <50 per IU/ML at the end of my 48th week. The dr thinks that's undetectable. I am not so sure. Should I have a Qualitative test done as well? I'd hate to stop treatment now ...
