Opinions about dosage reduction09 Jun 2005 03:39 GMT23
  hope everyone is doing fine.
I've read a lot about most of us, but write a little because I had to
work a lot and because I went through a little stress lately and I
wasn't in the mood.

SVRs; How are you going ?08 Jun 2005 16:07 GMT16
Hello there. I haven't formally introduced myself but I have posted a couple
of times as the mood has taken me. (I made a brief appearance recently in a
short thread called "Different Type of Treatment" and another on Mistletoe
treatment which only Thomas seemed interested in; well ...
Good News_Virus Gone after 3 Years08 Jun 2005 08:49 GMT7
I picked up the virus when I was 19, I'm 56 now. In 1995 I was diagnosed and
eventually started treatments. Man! Was I worried. I was in tears. All sorts
of news reports and comments from GPs (and self proclaimed healing experts)
had me dead in ten years......... No drinking..... ...

Does anyone know how to raise blood platelet levels, without a tranfusion?
After reading all the success stories  about beating G3, I am eager to get
treatment. Only problem is - I would need to significantly raise my platelet
count.
Very near the end08 Jun 2005 08:35 GMT2
I did my penultimate injection on Friday night (23 of 24).  At the same time
I counted through my remaining ribavirin tablets, discovered that I have 50
odd too many and chucked them down the toilet which felt really good.
Treatment has thus far given me precious little by way of ...

now they are working out the particulars. So in July or August I should be
Not so funny but true story07 Jun 2005 00:55 GMT9
Not so funny but true story:
One Saturday in August of 2003, I was laying on my couch watching tv with my
2 sons. I wasn't feeling very well but didn't know why.
Suddenly, it felt as if my throat was closing up. I was having severe
hype or hope?06 Jun 2005 23:43 GMT9
I have been silent for a little time whilst I see what transpires with
regards myself. With regards platelets and biopsy. My own were at 50000
when I had a trans juggler biopsy, so as far as this procedure is
concerned, it can be done. I even drove myself home later and felt fine ...

extra meds at end of treatment06 Jun 2005 02:25 GMT3
I'm within weeks of finishing the 48 week treatment.  I was undetectable at
12 weeks and at 24.  I'm genotype 1.  Any thoughts on whether I should
increase my dosage of ribavirin at the end of treatment or extend the
treatment, keeping the dosage the same.  I think I will have ...
