Was going thru some of my stuff today and found the following quote,
don't know who said it but thought it appropriate for this group.
"Strength isn't being able to stand up to anything, but being able to
crawl on your belly a long, long way until you can stand up again."

I have my appt. tonight at My doctors where they want me to take my
first shot there in front of them. ETA 4:00pm PDT.
Mind you when I get there, I'm going to try and talk them into letting
me take it later tonight. As I am trying to heed everyones advice here,
Combo Survival Guide09 Oct 2004 15:35 GMT1
I received a copy of this when I started tx. UCD in Sacramento included
it it my little folder after my 1st shoot. I found it quite a resource
of info on treatment and sides.

Interferon Retinopathy Warning09 Oct 2004 05:50 GMT1
My Dr. stopped my tx two weeks ago because my viral load was not low enough
after the 12 week period.  Six weeks into tx I started to notice vision
problems (floaters, spots, dark flashes).  Being still concerned about my
vision I went to an eye Dr yesterday and got all the tests ...
Liver damage from Interferon? (LA times Cedars Sinai ad)09 Oct 2004 05:46 GMT2
I was reading an ad for Cedars Hospital and came across this relating to
Interferon treatment:
"Possible side effects include flu symptoms that generally go away with
continued treatment. Later in the treatment cycle, patients can experience a
Adjusting shot schedule08 Oct 2004 18:41 GMT7
I was wondering if anyone changed the day they
did their shots mid treatment.  Now that I am off
work, Friday evening isn't really the optimum time.
I'd actually like to do it on Wednesday so I could feel
Liver Flush08 Oct 2004 15:20 GMT7
I was listening to a radio show this morning and on it was someone who had
contracted Hep-C through the sharing of needles. They claimed that they did
some kind of herbal liver flush for a year and all traces of the virus were
gone now, anyone know anything about this treatment?
Thank you for the quick replies08 Oct 2004 14:46 GMT1
Thank you everyone for your encouraging words...they mean alot to me.
Couldn't sleep last night...spent the time cowering in the corner of
my bed and watching Sex In The City reruns. This morning I couldn't
even talk to my sons without crying..I can't seem to chase the black

I have five bottles that I won't need if anyone wants them. I hate for them
to go to waste. Funny that no one abuses this drug. I can't give this crap
away.
Peace, Mike
Good news and bad news08 Oct 2004 07:23 GMT8
Well the good news is that the blood sample I gave one month after
ending tx showed no trace of hep-c.  The bad news is that they
(wrongly) tested for hep-b instead.  The hep-b test probably showed up
antibodies as I had a vaccination some months ago.
Computer question08 Oct 2004 05:11 GMT6
Is there some sort of setting on Outlook Express that brings you
straight to the first email message in the 'inbox' that doesn't first
take you to a screen where you can view the titles of all emails in the
'inbox'?  If so, how do you reset it so that you can first look at the

Hi, I am very new here (as in this is Day One). I posted last night to
another group and was directed here with you guys. After reading Bruce's
post, I realize I am not alone. I do not have access to any local HepC
support groups...but I will (hopefully) survive the 48 weeks with ...

Link between responders and sides?07 Oct 2004 22:39 GMT9
Someone (quoting the famous "studies have shown",) suggested that a
report of more side effects correlated with increased viral response.
Anybody heard of such?
Just wondering.
