Re-Tx with Peg+Rib - stories,stats,opinions please?27 Aug 2004 02:08 GMT24
T----have gen1, cirrhosis, thrombocytopenia, and was an interferon
alpha/Rib combo relapser after 40 weeks over 1999/2000. Consultant
suggested that I consider giving it another bash with the Pegasys/Rib
combo and see how things stand after 12 weeks.

Attenuated Avian BDV Virus, Laszlo Csatary26 Aug 2004 23:33 GMT1
Dear Board,
I am new here. I have hepatitis C. I have tried to follow the findings
of Laszlo Csatary since I heard of them around 1998. I found strings
on this board concerning his research around that time, and thought I

3 month results in the morning!26 Aug 2004 14:19 GMT28
This is going to be a *long* night!
I'm not usually an anxiety case; however, I'm pacing the floor.  My
wife is going to the appointment with me... she's pretty good at
calming me down.
Platelet count post tx26 Aug 2004 12:05 GMT8
I dunno if anyone has the answer to this but I'll ask anyway.  It's
for a friend of mine. A bit of background info first.
My friend went through tx recently.  At the start of tx, his platelets
were around 100 - rather on the low side but doable.  As you would
"New" side effect26 Aug 2004 11:52 GMT2
Has anyone else had problems with "pressure"
in your upper GI?   It's really weird, almost like
heartburn or indigestion but it comes with clammy
feeling skin.  Also more fatigued than usual.
I think I'll frame it!26 Aug 2004 10:32 GMT14
Another HCV PCR, August 24/04, one year + two months post-tx...
"Undetectible," with a note from UBC saying, "no further testing required."
I wasn't really surprised by the SVR (my last PCR was in April 04), but I
think I'll be having another test in a year or so... just to be sure. ...
Lab report questions26 Aug 2004 04:29 GMT40
Hello all, first post to the group, have a few questions.
I've been recently diagnosed with Hep-C, and am waiting for an appointment
with a gastroenterologist. I'd like to throw some numbers out that I
received from my blood work, and get some kind of an idea what I'm facing.

Starting 9/7/200425 Aug 2004 01:27 GMT43
I just got back from the doc and my first shot will be on Tuesday 9/7. Elmo
suggested that I talk to the doc about 30 days of Infergen. The doc wants me
to use Infergen for the full 24 weeks and maybe 48 if things don't work
right. If I heard right he said 180 Infergen once a week ...

U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) recommendations on screening for hepatitis C virus (HCV)24 Aug 2004 19:51 GMT5
This rings a bell, did something like this go around before.  I
personally disagree with it but there's this and more at:

Week 8 good news24 Aug 2004 13:08 GMT7
I think I'm the only person in the acute phase who posts here.  Recent
studies (which is all that exist) on treatment in the acute phase show
that it could be over 90% chance of being successful at SVR, with a
strong emphasis on the sooner the treatment starts the more successful ...
