We are considering adopting a preemie newborn whose Mom is Hep-C positive. I have done some research and have discovered that the baby is at about 5% risk for contracting the virus. Is there anything else we should be aware of before taking this placement? We don't know if

My mother is being treated for Hepatitis C with PEG Interferon (180 micrograms) and ribavirim. So far she's done 9 shots of interferon (one per week) skipping some weeks because of low bloodwork test results. This week, her leukocytes went low (2.5) for the third time
