Pigmentary Glaucoma28 Apr 2004 04:07 GMT9
I am a 47 year old male who was diagnosed with pigmentary glaucoma
about 6 weeks ago.  My pressures were 36 and 32 but dropped to 19 and
18 after a couple of weeks of using Xalatan once a day.  My chart says

One thing it said is that people of Scottish and Scandinavian descent
are at risk for something called pseudo-exfoliation of the lens, which
High blood pressure connection?25 Apr 2004 06:55 GMT6
I have been treated for open angle glaucoma for 20 years - first
dignosed when I was 29. I have been on a slew of different eye drops,
I am sure I could only remember half of them - propine, timoptic,
betoptic, pilocarpine 4% (God I hated that stuff), xylantan, and
I.O.P. variance with Corneal Thickness24 Apr 2004 21:44 GMT2
I was first diaganosed with glaucoma in 1993 after a left branchiole
occulusion. I had always been checked for glaucoma so it must have
appeared after my previous change in glasses. It has worsened in the last
two years, progressing from Timolol to Cosopt, and then adding ...
typical progression22 Apr 2004 03:39 GMT15
I just learned that I have IOP around 30 in each eye and there is evidence
of some nerve damage. My last (and only other) eye exam prior to this recent
one was about 3 1/2 years ago. At that time there was apparently no evidence
of elevated pressure. Is there any way to guess about ...
sort of OT:  new trend - eyeball jewelry18 Apr 2004 22:00 GMT4
I found this rather funny.  Most of us here would probably prefer not
to have our eyeballs operated upon, and these people do it for the
heck of it!

Econopred18 Apr 2004 21:57 GMT1
I just had cateract surgery along with a TRAB.  The Dr. has me on
Econopred every hour.  The original instructions were for a drop every
four hours but was changed to every hour.  What is the purpose of this
medication?  I won't see my Dr. until next week and am curious what it

Thanks to the Group15 Apr 2004 04:10 GMT11
I've been monitoring this group for the past few weeks during the
process of seeking a second opinion for a diagnosis of glaucoma.  This
group has been invaluable for information, along with other sources
online.
another day, another med14 Apr 2004 23:47 GMT6
The bright side of all of this is I haven't ever had to buy any
eyedrops, I've never managed to use up my freebie trial bottle before
I get switched to something else.
Went to the doctor again yesterday and am now on Yet Another Eyedrop.
Vitamin C for glaucoma12 Apr 2004 18:18 GMT11
Hi, everyone,
I'm wondering what the consensus here is on the use of mega-doses of
vitamin C in the treatment of glaucoma?
I first read about it in THE DOCTOR'S COMPLETE GUIDE TO VITAMINS AND
