Clarification of my previous message28 Oct 2006 06:07 GMT1
Sometime during October, I responded to a message about muscle
cramps, I  had suffered with them while I was on depakote and explained
how my doctor had me add magnesium to help relieve them. I went on to
say that I like to switch medications every five to ten years because
Temporal lobe epilepsy27 Oct 2006 16:35 GMT5
I have had TLE all my life (I am 47 now).  I was taking dilantin until
I was 10 or 11.  Before they took me off dilantin I was a straight A
student, able to do math a year or two ahead of other students.  When I
went off the dilantin it was because they thought I didn't need it

Ya know you'd think after 4, 5, 8 of these I'd learn,  but **Not with
Google*** as my poster.
Below is the headers of the post I replied to.   My AM Junk trap

quitting meds26 Oct 2006 01:07 GMT5
I've been going through some changes lately in my medications after
basically having the same thing for about 20 years.  I've been taking
zonisamide for the past couple of months, which is something of an
improvement over carbamazepine/lamotrigine, but has its own problems.

Ok, I had a 24 hr EEG done 2 weeks ago and had 5 seizures recorded.  they all
lasted between 20-40 seconds, and the one in my sleep lasted for 38 seconds.
I'm not exactly shocked or upset.  More relieved he didn't just tell me I was
crazy like my 2nd neuro did.  And, I'm glad to ...

horrible feeling that comes over me, a nasty taste in my mouth and I feels
like when you are being put under for surgery...that’s ...

Convulsion vs. Seizure20 Oct 2006 17:16 GMT22
Seizure = abnormal electric activity in brain
Convulsion = involuntary muscle contraction
Yet the terms "seizure" and "convulsion" are use interchangeably as if
the mean the same thing -- when they are clearly different from each
possible seizure?19 Oct 2006 00:00 GMT9
I've had these fits for about two and a half years. It starts that I get
really sleepy and a slight headache, and unable to concentrate. I also
sometimes smell blood, perfume or just something disgusting. I then after a
few minutes begin to hyperventilate, convulse, cry and grind ...
Just Me Again13 Oct 2006 15:52 GMT1
Thank you for the info, guess I’ll make that darn appointment and go see
what’s up with the migraines. Guess I just don’t want all the testing and
trying new meds but perhaps knowing will be half the battle. Didn’t know
about the insurance being void if it’s on record and since I ...

I'm in trouble for having an "episode" in dance class.05 Oct 2006 17:27 GMT9
So, this is what happened Friday mid-morning.  Friday, I only have 1 ballet
class and that is it for the entire day.  I was totally fine the first hour.
Well, I shouldn't say totally cuz my hands did start to spaz here and there.
But, after we pushed the barres away and started ...
