What to expect during video EEG29 Apr 2006 11:10 GMT3
Hello there.  Well, we had our appointment with the U of Chicago drs
and they're confounded as to why Steve suddenly had these seizures, as
the usual causes have been mostly ruled out.  He hasn't had any
problems at all since starting the Lamictal (no side effects and no

Hello and some questions25 Apr 2006 17:09 GMT10
Hello, this is my first time here.  I have some basic questions that maybe
the community could help me answer.  I haven't asked a doctor about any of
this (yet).
I'm a 47 year old male, generally good health.  About once or twice a week,
Deja Vu's - What are they?24 Apr 2006 11:59 GMT31
The term "Deja vu" is one that I have frequently heard mentioned associated with
seizures in this newsgroup and on epilepsy message boards. I've never seen
anyone explain what they meant by the use of that term though and its dictionary
definition doesn't agree with the feelings ...
Recycling some old good advice19 Apr 2006 19:54 GMT4
When I first started reading this news group before Windows became
the dominant operating system someone gave a great piece of simple
advice that I haven't seen repeated since the original author suggested
it. He or she reccommended that you always have your blood drawn for a

To recap for new people and those who may not remember... My 14 year old has

pointed to rt temporal lobe.  The video EEG only captured ...

Angelman Syndrome11 Apr 2006 21:26 GMT10
My daughter is 6 years old and started having seizures at 4 months. We went
through all the drugs and are currently on Keppra and the Ketogenic diet.
Our Neurologist told us Thursday that the blood test showed a mutated gene
which was the last marker for Angelman syndrome.

During the one and a half year I´ve been using Trileptal oxcarbazepine,
my dreaming (at nighttime ;-) ) has increased almost absurdly.
Prolonged and more frequent dreams during a nights sleep,
but no change in the "contents" or "subjects" of the dreams as such,
