First Seizure and Side Effects10 Feb 2006 05:10 GMT2
I'm 25, just recently had my first seizure.  I was wondering if anyone
else has had a similar experience...
Prior to this, I hadn't been able to focus long enough to read a book
for years. I felt very ADD (or perhaps just intellectually lazy) and in

Surgery questions09 Feb 2006 01:06 GMT7
Hello, group
I have posted here a few times with questions about my 14 year old son. He's
had epilepsy since age 7, with partials (both simple and complex) as well as
grand mals. They have determined that his right temporal lobe is where the

Hi I am new here and wanted to share my story
On March 9, 1998, the day after my 32nd birthday, I became the happiest
person in the world. I found out I was pregnant and due in November. I
gave birth to a healthy, happy, 9 pound 2 ounce baby boy, on November 18,

I've been on a Tegretol/Keppra combination for years, the Keppra was
supposed to help my partials and complex partials, but they just seem to
keep making matters worse (mainly the loss of co-ordination, which causes
me to shake and wobble all over the place, and the excessive ...

keppra and side effects04 Feb 2006 17:05 GMT28
I wonder if this has happened to anyone. I just started Keppra a few weeks
ago. My right arm feels very week and numb and my right eye is twitching all
the time. I saw my Dr. today and my reflexes weren't working. I'm a little
worried because I don't want to have a stoke and die ...
Bad batch of drugs?04 Feb 2006 05:00 GMT13
Just recently I switched to a different pharmacy to fill my
prescriptions. One of my new monthly refills was for the Pfizer Dilantin
100mg Kapseals that I take 3x daily and I started using them on Monday.
My situation always is somewhat volatile in that I can have good days &

As a 51 year old man, I had 2 seizures 2 weeks ago.  It turned my life
upside down.
First, I'm not allowed to drive for 6 months, ending my activities.
The doctor doesn't want me to ride a bike or swim without a lifeguard.
Keppra: Food Aversion?03 Feb 2006 00:08 GMT1
After a rather unfortunate incident  I was placed on Keppra to combat
my petit mal "drop attacks" (don't ask me what the scientific name is
for these seizures, I truly do not know it.)
The incident occurred last Tuesday when holding a full and hot pot of

Just saw the epileptologist for my son. We will be adding Keppra in a
month. I know everyone's experiences are different, but I am looking
for feedback about how this one is. Epi suggested I read up on it (OK,
he fails to understand that I already have.) I told him, as I had last
Levels of Dilantin02 Feb 2006 23:40 GMT3
I was supposed to get elbow surgery next week, but my neurologist
cancelled it because he said my dilantin level was 3.6, while I'm taking
4 100mg pills a day.  They even accused me of not taking it.
Any ideas?
