My 9 year old daughter has just been diagnosed with absence seizures
after an EEG.  The local children's hospital has offered to include her
in a NIH clinical trial of the three main drugs for absence seizures.
It's a random, double blind study so we would not know what medication

I have a history of complex partial seizures. I was seizure free with
tegretol for a few years until last year when I had a car accident
(Didn't hit head) and took panadeine for the pain. I had a numb arm and
felt lousy and doctors looked for nerve damage from the accident. No

help me with it.
I've never given too much thought to my boyfriend's illness as he's been
taking Depakin for years and has had no problems whatsoever since. Hopefully

Hi, I'm new to this site.  Here's my story...
I've had epilepsy since I was a year old. I had a GTC, possibly casued by
a fever when I was a baby. I was on phenobarb from 1-5 when my parents
finally took me off of it (with DR.'s permission) b/c I hadn't had another
Skipping words when typing?13 Oct 2005 05:44 GMT10
I've had TLE for about 6 years now. It's been somewhat controlled with
a few auras every month or two. In the last year i've noticed that when
I am typing up emails or documents at work and read back what I typed I
notice words are missing in the sentence.
Can I have some feedback please?12 Oct 2005 22:29 GMT6
I went to my neuro yesterday and was kind of just checking in with him.I

seizures at bay.
When first diagnosed, my doctor (a "gp") told me I needed to start
This sucks07 Oct 2005 19:32 GMT9
Ok, call me big baby but the seizure thing is becoming a nuisance.  My first
seizures were in August of 1995.  Four grand mals back to back inside of 30
minutes.  No more until December when I had a minor one.  Taking Lamictal.
Last night I had a moderate seizure that lasted about ...
