Nothing personal, I've enjoyed being here and most of the company.
Why?
I suddenly realised that my life is whistling past and there's more to it
than idle chatter despite the odd nuggets. If I ever have a problem I'll be

Last year at school my 10 year old daughter's teacher mentioned to me
that she had occasional lapses, times when she justy didn't seem to "be
there". In fact, I had thought something the same but did not really
klnow what to make of it and where I live doctors are scarce and tend

A quiet time20 Sep 2005 11:26 GMT9
Well, it seems to be quiet now so I thought I'd add an off topic piece of
information.  Wed. Sept.14 at 1030PM Toronto time, Jacob Selby Alexander
Ross was born (8 pounds, 2.3 oz / 3694 gm?).  Selby is my Son's
Father-in-Law and he and Lee live in Australia (although Lee is ...
what's changed?20 Sep 2005 04:22 GMT28
My first post in an extremely long time, mostly because I wasn't having
problems for a while.  I've been on Carbatrol and Lamictal (800 & 100
mg/d respectively), which was working great - the Lamictal
counterbalanced the sleepiness of the Carbatrol very well.  But then I
John O'Grady's Life18 Sep 2005 23:19 GMT1
The end of John O'Grady's life hit me very hard because I've lost a
friend that understood. I met John in 2002 when I first found The
Epilepsy Foundation of Western Ohio. In the Men @ Epilepsy meetings
John's positive attitude toward his disability (seizure disorder)and his
Lifestyle/behavioral modifications18 Sep 2005 06:42 GMT4
I've been diagnosed with partial onset seizures that, apparently, occur
frequently and have been occurring for about ten years.  Over the last
couple of years I've had enough seizures of greater severity to get me to
the doctor to find out what was going on.

concentration as a trigger for SP?15 Sep 2005 06:56 GMT5
One of the things that may trigger my simple partials, seems to be
concentrating very hard on something that may a combination of

My son already has been diagnosed with epilepsy and I have been wondering if
his emoutional outbursts could be related to that.  First some background,
