Epilepsy and driving regulations in the UK22 Dec 2004 05:23 GMT5
Hello.  I've had epilepsy for a few years now.  On average I find I have a
fit maybe once a year.  I consider the UK driving rules on epilepsy to be
ludicrous.
What they should be trying to establish is not that you're guaranteed never

Epilepsy and Altitude restrictions....a connection?19 Dec 2004 21:40 GMT1
Hiya all,
Here's the thing. I haven't had a breakthrough since 1999, (where my
legs gave out, and I fell to the floor). i.e. grand mal, tonic clonic
as they say nowadays. Put it this way, I have more auras than tremors.
I'm going18 Dec 2004 10:25 GMT2

But I'll be back. You can't get shot of me so easily :-)
If you celebrate it, I hope that you have a very happy Christmas. We shall,
in a ten foot, old, caravan on a wet, wild, windy Welsh mountainside.
Bad week.17 Dec 2004 05:06 GMT9
I'm pretty much recovered from a bad week and a half (don't know if they
were simple or complex partials).  I forgot how bad it feels.  Not just
the seizures, but all the in-between sensations that were really quite
uncomfortable.  Of course, nobody can see my seizures, so I suppose ...

Has anyone had a situation where doctors were unsure if you suffered from a
TIA (transient ischemic attack) or SPS (Simple Partial Seizure)?  I have
episodes that are caused by the presence of a tumor and my neurologists are
uncertain whether the episodes represent partial seizures ...

seizure moods and recall12 Dec 2004 11:21 GMT20
I am getting more and more confused. I read about how ya'll have auras
pre seizures and seizure after effects.
Well I am evidently having the seizures without any pre indications or
immediate after effects (that I am aware of).
My son has it now.12 Dec 2004 09:46 GMT14
I didn't realize that it was inherited but I guess it is as my son has it.
It breaks my heart to se him have a petit mal. I can't imagine if he had a
grand mal which seeing that I have had, he will probably have.
I guess life just sucks some times. Now my ex is going to move out of ...
