Some time ago I posted a family tree on the Epilepsy Foundation's Gene Discovery Project site. I did this because my two sons have seizure disorder and none of the neurologists they've seen believe they have the form which tends to run in families, whatever that is.

Here we go again! The people who create TV programs drive me crazy. Why do they think that someone having a seizure is funny, and why do they insist on depicting the same myth about placing something in a seizing person's mouth.

Well, I'm going into the hospital tomorrow for my EEG/video monitoring - I'll stay as long as it takes to have 4 seizures (shouldn't be long since they're taking me off my meds!). Then they can tell me if I'm eligible for surgery.
