I'm just wondering if anyone has experienced with Clobazam reduction or withdrawal. I saw my neuro yesterday and he recommended against reducing the Tegretol (which I was hoping to do) but said I could go from 10 mg to 5 mg of Clobazam (I've only been on it for 6 weeks). I did so ...

I am scheduled to have carotid and transcranial doppler tests done next week at the Veterans hospital due to my seizures. Can anyone tell me what they are, what to expect etc? I never had my carotid or transcranial doppled before :)

Hi. I am new here due the fact that mother is (77 years old) has started to have seizures within the last couple of years and after trying a couple of different drugs (Tegretol was one) with bad side effects she has ended up on Dilantin.

I take carbamazepine (Tegretol) and one of the side effects is pain in my knees. I'm prepared to put up with it, but does anyone know whether it causes long term damage to the joints. My doctors don't seem to know!

Can anyone tell me if pot has helped or hurt their seizures............ I have smoked since vietnam (1968) and wonder if now 35 years later marijuiana could be the cause of my seizures. I read that cocaine and other "hard" drugs can cause the seizures. I guess that one could say

My husband, aged 41, has just had his first seizure, and is awaiting further tests -an EEG and MRI. CT Scan showed nothing, bloods showed no infection. He needs to drive for his job, and we are both absolutely poleaxed by this event.
